Marcon awarded gallery refresh fit out at Titanic Belfast

Marcon are thrilled to be awarded the fit out of the gallery refresh at the world-leading visitor attraction Titanic Belfast.

To mark its 10th birthday, the multi-million-pound gallery 6 to 10 refresh programme is Titanic Belfast’s most ambitious project, and single largest investment to date.

Marcon will start on site in the new year with the transformed Titanic Experience opening to the public in Spring 2023.

Denise Kennedy, Titanic Belfast’s Head of Operations said: “Dreaming big is in our DNA and just like the designers who created Titanic, we continually innovate how we tell her story and find new ways to capture the imagination. We will continue to push boundaries with immersive technology, original maritime heritage, and the authentic Titanic story, to deliver an enriched, emotive visitor experience.  We are confident that the reimagined experience will amaze visitors and sustain Titanic Belfast as a world-class, ‘must-see’ global visitor attraction for years to come.”

Judith Owens MBE, Chief Executive of Titanic Belfast, added: “Over the past 10 years, Titanic Belfast has become one of the world’s leading visitor attractions and has attracted almost 7 million local, national, and international visitors from 145 different countries. The gallery refreshment programme will allow us to build on our success, push boundaries and stay at the forefront of the industry, enhancing the overall Titanic Belfast experience in an innovative way.”

Heritage Manager at Marcon, Martin McErlean, commented on the award: “We are over the moon to continue our partnership with Titanic Belfast.  We have delivered all gallery fit outs since the building opened in 2012 so we are delighted with this award and looking forward to getting onto site to deliver an amazing fit out and reinforcing Titanic Belfast’s reputation as a Leading Visitor Attraction.”
