Marcon Fit-out were appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver the construction works and the internal fit out of the existing three-storey Three Sisters Building at Tullamore Dew Distillery in Co Offlay to create a dedicated visitor centre and retail and ticketing area.
The new facility has created almost 5,000 sq ft of visitor experience space and will provide visitors with an immersive sensory journey which brings the stories of Irish Whiskey and Tullamore D.E.W. to life.
Upgrades and alterations to signage, the main entrance and retail areas will enable visitors to easily navigate the site and ensure accessibility for all.
Along the link corridors and stairwells there is Heritage and advertising artwork to walls as well as timber backlit display boxes, making the best use of these transitional spaces.
Within the second-floor lounge area, bespoke bi-folding doors with removable panels have been installed. The panels have been laser etched with illustrations taking visitors on a journey through the distilling process from field to bottle, providing guests with an interesting narrative whilst they relax in the lounge area.
Polished concrete counter tops; solid oak display units and baffled ceiling rafts ensure the interior not only looks very impressive and inviting, but conforms to the highest technical and sustainable standards.
Guests will be able to explore the history of the brand before heading on to the distillation halls; Cooperage process; Maturation Warehouse; Blending labs and tasting bar.
